Gun & Knife Show
Located at 621 Micaville Loop
Mountain Heritage Expo Center (621 Micaville Loop, Micaville, NC) Sep 22 – 23 Sat 9 – 5 Sun 10 – 4 Admission is $7 – Law Enforcement Officers and Active Military are free, with appropriate identification.
Bubba's Restaurant in Burnsville will be onsite serving their fine BBQ and other fast food items, Tri-County Christian School will be doing a large 'Bake Sale' onsite and Blue Ridge Ice Cream will be dishing up great flavors. There will be multiple door prizes and drawings for valuable merchandise.
As of this date, we have 120 tables of guns, knives, ammo, military surplus, survival gear, supplies and equipment. This is a legitimate full scale gun and knife show – absolutely NO flea market fare will be permitted. Tickets are $7 and are only available at the door.
One of the highlights of the show is our "Trader's Corner" where tables are provided for personal sales of no more than 3 items, guns and/or knives. This was one of the highlights of our last show in April of this year and many guns and knives were successfully sold by local individuals. Regular "vendor tables" are $40 each and space is still available – we have the capacity for 190 tables.
The local health department inspector and the Yancey Fire Marshall have personally visited the facility and approved our setup.
Security at our shows is very tight; all firearms are strapped, including those coming through the front door. Absolutely no loaded firearms are permitted under any circumstances. Deputies from the Yancey Sheriff's Dept will be onsite day and night to monitor activity.
Emergency services and traffic control will again be provided by the Newdale Volunteer Fire Department. Parking is available on both sides of the old Taylor Togs building in Micaville and patrons may enter on either side. |
